Morgan Stanley upgraded Ørsted to “overweight” and added the offshore wind developer to its list of preferred stocks, citing what it sees as the strongest upside potential within its coverage universe. The bank argues that Ørsted is well positioned to benefit from renewed European energy security policies, which are expected to accelerate renewable capacity additions over the coming decade. It also pointed to easing concerns around offshore wind projects in the United States, improved balance sheet flexibility, and higher long-term energy prices as key drivers that could support a re-rating of the stock. Morgan Stanley estimates around 38% upside to its price target, the highest in its coverage. $DOGEF $MS

View on StockTwits ↗Ørsted, the Danish renewable-energy company and the world’s largest offshore wind developer, has launched legal action against the Trump administration over the suspension of its $5 billion Revolution Wind project. On Friday, Ørsted said it will seek a court injunction to block the U.S. government’s decision to halt the project, which is located about 15 miles south of the Rhode Island coast. “As with the August 2025 stop-work order, the Revolution Wind Project faces substantial harm from the continued lease suspension. As a result, litigation is a necessary step to protect the Project’s rights,” the company said. Ørsted stressed that it has spent and committed billions of dollars based on a thorough regulatory review process and has met all required conditions. The Trump administration suspended leases for five major offshore wind projects, including Revolution Wind, on Dec. 22, 2023, citing national security concerns raised by the Pentagon. $DOGEF
