$TEF in the past 6 months it has been underperforming IBEX-35 where only shine banking stocks. I do remember back in early nineties when Telefonica was a marker mover. Circumstances have changed and it is no longer a beloved one…when that happens to me is a clear buy signal for such stock. Holding strong. Value player. PER value undervalued compared to other peers. Confirmed 0.15 cents dividend for 2027. Must-have-stock if you play in Europe over the long run.
View on StockTwits ↗BlackRock has increased its stake in Telefónica for the fifth consecutive time, lifting its holding to 6.24% from 5.94% in April. The position, built through shares and financial instruments, is valued at approximately €1.3 billion ($1.48 billion) and cements BlackRock as the Spanish telecom group's fourth-largest shareholder. The asset manager has raised its ownership twice in June despite recent weakness in the stock. Telefónica shares declined for six consecutive sessions between June 15 and June 22 before rebounding 2.6% on Tuesday. During that period, the company paid the second 2025 dividend installment of €0.15 per share, completing a total annual dividend of €0.30 per share. Telefónica has announced it will reduce its 2026 dividend by half to €0.15 per share. $BLK $TEF

View on StockTwits ↗$TEF short term strategy. Buy CALLS. Strike out of the money. Pay little premiums and see if there is any merging news in the horizon. I always thought $KPN.X and $TEF could merge, actually it was a dream by Villalonga back in 1999 that could be possible but it was rejected by EU Telecommunications Comission because they thought it could imply market dominance. Perhaps in 2026 the landscape has changed. No wonder why $KPN.X has already moved to breaking out mode😉
View on StockTwits ↗$TEF has been surprisingly weak in the past 6 months. Holding strong even though dividend has been slashed by management. Hopefully Murtra’s team will deploy any M&A activity soon. Next level to watch 3,30€. Going under it could trigger further selling pressure. Value player.
