$SRZN if we assume that at least Regeneron, Roche, Merck and Boehringer Ingelheim are in the virtual data room since around February then the July 21 PGR decision could have been the trigger for final bids. On Monday the public warrants are expiring which is a nice coincidence. We have multiple pressure points that these big pharma companies have to navigate. The 4 companies are the obvious bidders so they will know against who they are bidding so that is already a bad thing for them and good for us. Having 4 big pharma companies with different reasons why they want Surrozen is the best possible auction environment. The potential IND filing of SZN-8141/second tranche could give Surrozen more money which is bad for them. Brunello results could give Merck an advantage which is bad for the others. BI getting SZN-413 results is bad for the others. Phase 2 trial against Vabysmo is potentially a problem for all of them so if they want to change that then they have to buy us now.
View on StockTwits ↗$SRZN i think what really triggered Surrozen's buyout preparation could have been our WNT patent that was granted in May 2025 while Merck/AntlerA/Roche WNT patents had problems getting approval. It is possible that Merck contacted Surrozen around that time asking for a license or anything else and that made Surrozen's value obvious and then they hired a CFO with the former colleague from Jazz Pharmaceuticals (Andrew Maleki). Here is the whole timeline since May 2025.
View on StockTwits ↗$SRZN Roche/Genentech worked on the WNT pathway since at least 2009 so they were always interested in it but only got a real shot at a good drug after the AntlerA acquisition. Now their freedom to operate is in question because Surrozen's patents could have real blocking value. For Roche the question is should we invest real money into WNT drug development if Surrozen can block us with their prior art patents? Same question for Merck and Restoret. Merck's attack on Surrozen's WNT patent proves that our patents are important to them. We could have the missing piece to their freedom to operate. Whoever acquires Surrozen could hold the key to the future of the WNT pathway into potentially the 2040s. That is a long time in the biotech world.
View on StockTwits ↗$SRZN @Jw242 @raticals anybody interested in the Q2 report? Seems like after Merck's failed patent attack now Boehringer Ingelheim tries to create uncertainty around Surrozen to increase their own chances of acquiring them. They obviously want our drugs but don't really have a chance against Regeneron, Merck and Roche so they use this dispute to increase their chance. Makes a lot of sense from BI's strategic perspective to try that.
View on StockTwits ↗$SRZN what was that $27 spike around 9:30am EST. Very interesting
View on StockTwits ↗$SRZN very interesting 10Q. Pressure to acquire Surrozen is increasing a lot.
View on StockTwits ↗$SRZN on the weekend i will post a little overview of what happened in the WNT space from Roche's point of view since Sekar Seshagiri(former Roche employee) joint AntlerA in 2019 because it seems like since then Roche and AntlerA worked together on WNT drugs. And now that Merck's attack on Surrozen WNT patents failed it also influences Roche because their AntlerA patents were outlicensed to Eyebio/Merck. Merck thought it is important to invalidate Surrozen's patents because they could limit Merck's freedom to operate regarding Restoret. Roche owns the same patents and could have the same problem as Merck.
View on StockTwits ↗$SRZN i checked the patents of the WNT liver drug SZN-043. Seems like they got one patent approved until 2041 and are trying to get more even in 2026 they are spending time and money on that. I guess that confirms that the drug is still there and they only terminated the work on it because they wanted to change the focus on the ophthalmology drugs. But we could still have this clinical asset and it could add a lot of value in buyout negotiations.
View on StockTwits ↗$SRZN Some institutions have seen enough to know, that it is time to run away. The sell off has been going on since last ER
View on StockTwits ↗$SRZN Boehringer Ingelheim and Re-Vana after 1 year of working together(officially). If you check out some BI employees and what they did in the past then you will see that BI was already working on sustained release drugs long before starting to work with Re-Vana. For example one employee worked on sustained release Eylea(aflibercept) formulations from June 2021 until February 2022. And Surrozen is working on aflibercept combination drugs. I can see that BI's focus for some time is to make sustained release biologics for IVT injection. That fits very good to Surrozen's drugs. BI knows SZN-413 and they allowed Surrozen to make combination molecules with it. They were able to use SZN-413 and test if it works with Re-Vana's sustained release technology. They could have an information advantage over Regeneron because they worked on solving the sustained release problem while Regeneron focused on EyleaHD development.
View on StockTwits ↗$SRZN very interesting day here. It is possible that TCGX fully transfered their shares to some other tutes. That is only speculation and if that is true then we should get the proof in a filing very soon.
View on StockTwits ↗Mizuho⬆️its Top Pick $EYPT's PT to $39 from $36;⬆️Duravyu's PoS and reiterated an Outperform rating ahead of next month's expected top-line data. $OCUL $SRZN REGN RHHBY FDMT KOD Mizuho said -- Next month, we expect EYPT to report top-line P3 LUGANO data, the first readout from two identical, pivotal, non-inferiority studies evaluating Duravyu (the co's tyrosine kinase inhibitor/TKI-based maintenance therapy) in wet AMD/WAMD (with P3 LUCIA data expected to follow shortly after). Ahead of data, we raise our PT to $39 (vs. $36 prior), based on an increase in our POS assumption to 75% (vs. 70% prior), following recent channel checks with KOLs and investors. Additionally, we preview the opportunity, where we continue to see a favorable setup. Bigger picture, we believe Duravyu is positioned to become a best-in-class TKI product for wAMD, and seeing meaningful stock upside in what we view to be a de-risked opportunity, we stay OP-rated on EYPT, a Mizuho Top Pick.
View on StockTwits ↗$SRZN around 460000 volume in a day with not much decline looks like a transfer of shares between tutes. Could be a reaction to the TCGX sale or TCGX continuing to sell. If TCGX is selling more than 5% of their shares then they have to publish that after 2 days so we would know that soon.
View on StockTwits ↗$SRZN The bottom has fallen out and no one seems to want to fix it. The last two major shareholder in May they must have got everything wrong here
