Hershey is a leading US confectionery manufacturer (in a $55 billion market, according to Euromonitor), controlling more than 35% of the domestic chocolate aisle. Beyond its namesake label, the firm's portfolio has expanded over the last 85 years and now comprises 100 brands, including Reese's, Kit Kat, Kisses, and Ice Breakers. Hershey's products are sold in about 80 countries, though only a high-single-digit percentage of sales comes from markets outside the US, including the UK, Brazil, India, and Mexico. The firm has sought inorganic opportunities to extend its reach beyond its core confectionery business, adding Amplify Snack Brands and its Skinny Pop ready-to-eat popcorn to its portfolio, as well as Pirate Brands, Dot's Pretzels, and LesserEvil over the past few years.

View on StockTwits ↗@DAJIS So you really think some SVP of Growth from Hershey’s is going to come in and save the “open internet” concept after Jeff burned this company down to the ashes? At least $HSY is a better stock than this POS. Let’s see how this plays out.
View on StockTwits ↗$HSY Hershey announces voluntary recall of certain Hershey's Kisses products Hershey Canada announced a voluntary recall of a limited number of Hershey's Kisses Creamy Milk Chocolate products in 200g and 104g size bags due to the potential presence of an undeclared allergen. The affected product lots, listed below, are being recalled from the marketplace because some Kisses may contain an undeclared almond.
View on StockTwits ↗Hershey reported better-than-expected Q2 results as higher pricing continued to offset elevated cocoa costs, although the stock slipped as investors focused on softer underlying demand. Revenue rose to $2.79 billion, topping analysts' estimates of $2.64 billion, while adjusted EPS also exceeded expectations. The company credited roughly 12% price increases for protecting profitability despite weaker consumer purchasing volumes. Investors looked past the earnings beat, however, as North American confectionery volumes posted double-digit declines due to higher prices, while the salty snacks business delivered weaker-than-expected profitability. Bloomberg Intelligence noted that concerns over slowing organic growth, competitive pressures, and the pace of volume recovery weighed on sentiment despite improving margins. Management said demand trends should improve as commodity inflation moderates and consumers adjust to higher prices. $HSY
