The fund's core objective is to deliver significant current income alongside capital growth. Under ordinary market conditions, it pursues this aim by committing at least 80% of its assets to equity securities. Its investment universe primarily consists of stocks from companies with market capitalizations surpassing $2 billion. A critical criterion for all equity holdings is that they must be actively paying a dividend or anticipated to do so within a 12-month timeframe from the point of investment. Furthermore, the portfolio may allocate up to 20% of its net assets to securities from foreign issuers and those denominated in non-U.S. dollar currencies.
