Gaming and Leisure Properties Inc, or GLP, is a self-administered and self-managed Pennsylvania real estate investment trust (REIT). It is engaged in acquiring, financing, and owning real estate property to be leased to gaming operators in triple-net lease arrangements. The company also extends loans that produce fixed or variable returns, which may convert into leased rent upon project completion or stabilization. Its portfolio consists of gaming and related facilities and amenities such as Ameristar Black Hawk, Bally's Casino, Argosy Casino Alton, Bally's Chicago, Hollywood Casino Aurora, and others located across different states in the United States.

$VICI Although VICI has nosed them out by a tad since inception, I think that $GLPI is the better of the two as of today. VICI is too much concentrated on that strip where as GLPI has casinos where locals in the Midwest, South and East can go instead of flying out to Vegas and finding everything a rip off. My Vegas days are over. The rip-off factor is disgusting. Many friends I have back East feel the same way. I put in some sports futures up in Reno last year and they have sent me offers of rooms and free play that Vegas skimps on these days. Both do have issues coming up with Caesars and Indian land. They are both good stocks to park money when they are down low like this.
