Founded in 2005, Etsy operates a leading global marketplace, connecting roughly 87 million active buyers and 6 million sellers of unique, handmade, and vintage goods. In fiscal 2025, the firm generated $2.9 billion in revenue and almost $12 billion in gross merchandise sales. The firm monetizes its marketplace primarily through transaction fees and advertising, with core categories spanning homeware, jewelry, apparel, and craft supplies. The US drives 74% of sales, though its core geographic reach extends to the UK, Germany, Canada, and Australia.

$ETSY Almost two weeks with prices above 80$. Should've sold 85$ calls and bought 80$ puts with some of the premium. Instead I sold the 81$ calls when it wasn't at highs and then rolled to 90$ August short calls for a credit. Not the worst repair but certainly none that helps when it is fading even pre-ER in two weeks... Revisit of 75$ in July very very likely.

View on StockTwits ↗BTIG downgraded Etsy to Neutral from Buy after the stock's strong rally pushed shares above the firm's previous $78 price target, leaving the risk-reward profile more balanced. Etsy shares are up 55% year-to-date and have significantly outperformed the broader e-commerce sector, supported by solid sales trends and the $1.2 billion sale of its Depop business earlier this year. While BTIG believes much of the recent strength is fundamentally driven, it noted that short covering and investor rotation out of AI-related stocks have also contributed to the move. The firm's valuation analysis shows Etsy now trades at roughly 11x estimated 2027 adjusted EBITDA, up from about 6x at its February lows, a level BTIG considers less compelling given consensus expectations for only 3.6% annual gross merchandise sales growth through 2028. BTIG added that Etsy's valuation is approaching that of peers with stronger growth profiles, including Amazon and eBay. $ETSY $AMZN $EBAY $CARG
