Cheniere Energy Partners is a liquefied natural gas producer operating one facility in Sabine Pass, Louisiana. It generates most of its revenue through long-term contracts with customers on a fixed- and variable-fee payout structure. It also generates revenue by selling uncontracted LNG to customers on a short or one-time basis. The profit generated through those activities is split with parent and operator Cheniere Energy.

$CQP $GLNG $LNG $NEXT $VG Qatar in talks to buy LNG from U.S. suppliers, Bloomberg reports Qatar is in discussions to buy liquefied natural gas from U.S. suppliers under long-term agreements due to the Iran war crippling its ability to supply its own customers, Bloomberg's Ruth Liao reports. State-owned QatarEnergy is interested in supplies from existing and under-construction export projects, according to people familiar with the matter. The potential deals are a result of the U.S.-Iran war pushing Qatar to look for alternative sources of gas to satisfy its customers.
