S&P Global Ratings revised its outlook on Viper Energy to Positive from Stable while reaffirming its BBB- issuer credit rating, citing stronger financial metrics, significant free cash flow generation and rising production. S&P also affirmed VNOM’s BBB- rating on senior unsecured notes, reflecting a standalone credit profile of bb upgraded two notches due to its strategic relationship with parent Diamondback Energy, which owns about 40% of VNOM and can appoint up to three board members while holding at least 25%. Viper expects 2026 production of 132,500–135,000 boe/d, up sharply from about 50,000 boe/d in 2024, while year-end 2025 reserves more than doubled to 406 million boe from 194 million.
