$TCEHY I treat this company similar to Google. The stock price will be under pressure as long as cash flow is negative due to copex spending. It is one of the best run companies in China with a lot of government oversight. Very profitable. I am impressed with the growth. Capex AI spending will put a ceiling on price for a while.
View on StockTwits ↗$BABA $TCEHY The difference between capex spending in US vs. CN is simple- in US capex spending is to boost revenues and margins. In CN capex spending is to capture market share by competing on price.
View on StockTwits ↗$JD $TCEHY $BABA only us stocks will be rewarded for capex spending increase for ai not chinese stocks.
View on StockTwits ↗$TCEHY Tencent's Q2 landed near consensus, but confirmed the market's worry: AI spending is already hitting profit and cash flow. Capex reached RMB 52.8B, 26% of revenue, with cash paid higher at RMB 59.3B on prepaid orders — the full year could approach RMB 200B. Free cash flow turned negative at -RMB 13.8B, though excluding compute prepayments it was positive RMB 37.6B, so the core business remains solid. Most server depreciation and leasing costs sit in R&D, which grew 25% against 8% salary growth; core operating profit rose only 6.4%. Advertising, up 22%, is the main lever offsetting that. Gaming grew 11%, with domestic accelerating to 17% and international flat. Buybacks are down about a third from last year.

View on StockTwits ↗$BABA 🤡 this stock is still sooooooo cheap. Long and strong! China is priced to where bull markets tend to start and America is priced where bear markets tend to start. BABA is the amazon of China, which is the nation projected to be (if not already) the largest economy in the world. Know your shit if you want to talk shit! $BIDU $JD $NIO $TCEHY

View on StockTwits ↗I've had an interesting thought lately. While AI hardware stocks around the world have been selling off, Hong Kong stocks have continued to climb. Many of Hong Kong's biggest names—such as $TCEHY, $BABA, and $MEITUAN—are primarily software and platform companies. Could this be a sign that the next wave of the AI rally is about to shift from hardware toward the application and software layer? $SOFI $NOW
