$OPTT let’s get it. . Looking like a bullish kinda day.
View on StockTwits ↗$OPTT Not a perma bull. Just a shareholder trying to understand the July Columbia/StingRAY deal. Company is low on cash, reverse split is hanging over us, and they spent equity on developmental wave-energy IP that doesn’t upgrade the current PowerBuoy, doesn’t create near-term revenue, and isn’t a finished subsea product. Official line was “subsea power capability” and extending from surface to seabed. Fine. But what’s the actual product roadmap and timeline for that IP? How does it help the next 12-18 months when cash and execution matter most? Would rather see clean focus on the Coast Guard work, backlog conversion, and the other pipeline contracts that were supposedly close. This one feels like expensive optionality at the wrong time. Anyone from the company want to clarify the real near-term plan for what was bought???
View on StockTwits ↗$OPTT The phrase “subject to the availability of appropriations and if the Secretary of Homeland Security determines that there is a need” is standard congressional wording. It means: Congress authorized the idea and said DHS may / shall do it… …but only if two things are true: Money is actually appropriated for it, and The Secretary (currently Markwayne Mullin, or whoever he designates) decides there is a real need. It is not a hard, automatic requirement. One determination by the Secretary (or the lack of specific funding) can keep the other three sites from moving forward. San Diego got funded and executed; the others still sit behind that discretionary gate. This is common in authorization bills. It gives the agency flexibility and keeps Congress from forcing spending that the executive branch doesn’t want or can’t fund.
View on StockTwits ↗$OPTT Coast Guard Authorization Act (other locations) The law is real and still on the books (Section 7218 / related language in the Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2025): Directs DHS (subject to appropriations and a determination of need by the Secretary) to procure tactical maritime surveillance systems (or similar) for: Coast Guard Sector San Diego Coast Guard Sector Key West Coast Guard Sector San Juan Land-based system for Station South Padre Island No public evidence of: New appropriations specifically tied to the other three sites RFPs or awards for Key West, San Juan, or South Padre Any follow-on multi-buoy contracts announced San Diego remains the only site with an active, publicly confirmed PowerBuoy deployment under this framework. Bottom line Public visibility on the San Diego system stopped at the June performance note and the July earnings comments. There is no public congressional, DHS, or Coast Guard report confirming additional results, problems, or expansion..
View on StockTwits ↗@FrankieD7 from what I have seen in years past companies have balloon their shares deluded their stock to the naked eye. However, in reality they added hundreds of millions of shares, but took their price from .09 to $19. Essentially doubling their share price and quadruple their share count. Wish mathematically means they have exponentially grown their company. With a reverse split now imminent the newly established significantly higher share price will draw real money to the situation from large institutional holders and significantly more shares purchased by mutual funds that currently already owned a large percentage. In that moment in time roughly 6 months after the reverse split, you will see seven times share price. So if we get ourselves close to a dollar it is my belief that you will see seven dollars by the third quarter of twenty seven . I am planning to see $11 in 28 and we will be at $30 in 2031 $OPTT
View on StockTwits ↗$OPTT not weird to me people short want a rs.....fucking insanity to me that some on here (that have been on here for a long time) also want one. i guess im completely lost on why you would want that as a long term investor. cant lie it makes me super leery.
View on StockTwits ↗$OPTT that CMMC LEVEL 2 clearance is substantial, as someone else posted here. Other competing companies have a deadline of Nov. 10 to obtain theirs. OPT got theirs last month and are ready to go. Thats a nice head start. Also, like the person posted, i dont see anyone else having theirs yet either. 🌊⚡️🌊⚡️🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊
View on StockTwits ↗$OPTT voted for. Preparing for 50-1 split. Staying long 🇺🇸🌊
