PAO NOVATEK, an independent energy firm based in Tarko-Sale, Russia, and established in 1994, specializes comprehensively in the upstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry. This involves everything from discovering and developing new reserves to producing, processing, marketing, and exporting natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons. Its primary holdings and exploration efforts are concentrated within the resource-rich Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region of Western Siberia. The company supplies a wide array of energy products, including natural gas, stable gas condensate, various refined gas condensate products, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), crude oil, naphtha, diesel and jet fuels, methanol, and petrol. Beyond product sales, NOVATEK extends its operations to include logistics and transport, geological and geophysical investigations, maintenance and repair for energy infrastructure, rental solutions, and other ancillary services. It also operates its own network of retail fuel stations. Its products reach a diverse international market, spanning Russia, across Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, and North America. Demonstrating a forward-looking approach to sustainability, PAO NOVATEK has entered into a strategic collaboration agreement with the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). This partnership aims to foster joint initiatives in the production of hydrogen and ammonia, the development and deployment of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies, and various renewable energy ventures within Russia. The company adopted its current name, PAO NOVATEK, in October 2016, having previously operated as OAO NOVATEK.
