$CAFRX (MORNINGSTAR SEZ IT IS 95% $EZA s AFRICA ) THIS COULD be a fairly old number. compare to the etf EZA. EEZA BEATS CAFRX, BUT I AM MORE AFRAID OF EZA THAN CAFRX. ditto: $VNM too, if we are talking about fear. fwiw: today 1/14 USA yes, the usa state department recc that government workers (leave / evacuate ) QATAR WATCHING $KSA and $TRAMX WE DONT OWN EITHER NOW. TRAMX WAS "3/4 GREAT FOR A FAIRLY LONG TIME, AND then it ran out of steam" good barameter to watch, though. tramx = $TROW AFRICA AND MIDDLE EAST FUND. DONT FORGET $NGE nigeria voluntarily shut down, cuz the etf had trouble clearing / settling trades; !wait, what !? shut ddown in 2024
View on StockTwits ↗Grandpa here: My Fidelity variable annuity: 12/5/25 separated 1/2 of my $XLV healthcare sub account into (Lazard) $EEM I could definitely see $EEM outpacing $XLV so much that it was a no- brainer to move the other half of XLV into EEM Lazard on 12/31/25. Don’t forget $CAFRX is also smoking hot AFRICA containing $EZA S. Africa 1 ominous note: $NGE was dissolved in 2024 on serious issues like being able to “settle” individual stock trades !?!?!? NGE NIGERIA ETF
View on StockTwits ↗Buying more $CAFRX Africa fund tomorrow 12/19; it obviously contains $NGE and $EZA Nigeria and S Africa. Bought early December 11.44 Closed 11.33 today 12/18 But, and I mean a big but, I got paid a cash dividend of 4% in the interim This thing is almost / maybe even better than. $VNM Vietnam (and obviously more geographically diversified. )
View on StockTwits ↗$NGE Trump on Saturday said he’s ordered the Pentagon to begin planning for potential military action in Nigeria as he stepped up his allegations that the government is failing to rein in the persecution of Christians in the West African country. The president also warned that he “will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria.” “If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities,” Trump posted on social media. “I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our CHERISHED Christians!”

View on StockTwits ↗@Baseload_Investing I don't mind ETFs with small AUMs! Too small and they may be closed as happened with $NGE $EEM $EMFM IIRC In terms of holdings, $INQQ looks to be a bit more balanced than INCO with heavyweights like Reliance well represented

View on StockTwits ↗$NGE $AFK $EEM NIGERIA The death toll in weekend attacks in the central Nigerian state of Plateau has risen to 113, a local official said on Monday, in a region where clashes between herders and farmers are common. It is the worst outbreak of violence in Plateau since May, when more than 100 people were killed in farmer-herder attacks. AFP news agency had cited the Nigerian army on Sunday as saying 16 people were killed in the latest attacks. Monday Kassah, the acting chairman of Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, said 113 people had been killed in the attacks on Saturday and Sunday. “The attacks were well-coordinated. Not fewer than 20 different communities were attacked by the bandits,” he said. “We have recovered 113 dead bodies from those communities. We have recovered more than 300 injured.” Kassah did not say who was responsible for the attacks. He added that the injured had been taken to hospital.
