La Jolla Pharmaceutical Company is dedicated to the creation and marketing of therapeutic solutions, with the ultimate goal of enhancing patient outcomes in the face of life-threatening illnesses. The company's commercialized offerings include GIAPREZA, a potent vasoconstrictor designed to raise blood pressure in adult patients afflicted by septic or other forms of distributive shock. Additionally, it provides XERAVA, a tetracycline-class antibacterial effective in treating complex intra-abdominal infections in individuals aged 18 and above. These vital medications are supplied to hospitals and other healthcare institutions exclusively within the United States. Looking ahead, La Jolla is actively advancing several investigational drug candidates through early-stage clinical or preclinical development. These encompass TP-6076, an intravenous fluorocycline derivative targeting specific multidrug-resistant gram-negative bacteria; TP-271, a fluorocycline available for both intravenous and oral administration, intended to address respiratory conditions stemming from bacterial biothreats, antibiotic-resistant public health pathogens, and community-acquired bacterial pneumonia; and TP-2846, an intravenous tetracycline being explored for its potential in treating acute myeloid leukemia. The company has forged key strategic partnerships, including a licensing agreement with Everest Medicines Limited for the development and commercialization of XERAVA. Furthermore, it holds a similar agreement with PAION AG for the commercialization of both GIAPREZA and XERAVA. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, La Jolla Pharmaceutical Company has operated as a subsidiary of Innoviva, Inc. since August 22, 2022.

@Paulzk funny you say that about $LJPC which was a Tang scam and reverse split like 1 to 500000 while the Tangs shares were non-dilutable.
View on StockTwits ↗$SRPT I wanted to give george a congratulations for taking the top spot at the fda. I had a great run with him over at $LJPC back in the days. Been a long time fan. Hopefully he fixes $srpt and has them clean up their dirty act.
View on StockTwits ↗@clownmarket @Family_Guy_ The drug $LJPC had was for critically low blood pressure in people that were refractive to the medicine at market, "catecholamine resistant hypotension". This was a very small group which made the drug an orphan drug. However, this drug was only going to be used on the site of an injury causing mass trauma which means ambulance stocked at orphan prices. I was like "this thing will never sell for shit". I was right the drug is crap. LJPC is dead weight.
View on StockTwits ↗@clownmarket @Family_Guy_ If its the same Tang from $LJPC he's looking to Tang bang pump and dump. Corner the float run a pump then fuel the pump by sucking in shorts and ladder attacking them with no liquidity. https://x.com/adamfeuerstein/status/616327849532899328 Then when the dust settles and the drugs fail they dilute like crazy and reverse split. And the Tangs own special shares that are not affected by the reverse split lol LJPC at one point R/S 500000 to 1 over the course of 3 years.

View on StockTwits ↗@Qutiaw @CanadianDreamcast when i read this study several years back i compared vs soc and it was being compared against soc + the scd. So basically it was added to the normal procedure for handling these cases and i had trouble finding how they could really prove there was any benefit in using the scd. I even had former ceo of $LJPC @georgetidmarsh comment on it and it didnt seem like he thought anything unique of it. If you remember ljpc was doing a drug for sepsis and a similar drug was approved for the same indication ahead causing them to miss the window. The experts know more about this stuff.
View on StockTwits ↗@the_shalashaska I agree! Vaguely reminds me of $LJPC before it was acquired... While I don't know if we will get the premium we are hoping for, the company is an excellent acquisition target, in my opinion.. Durable revenue streams with the opportunity to scale up. I imagine at least one group of investors would be interested...
View on StockTwits ↗$DMTTF $CELG $JUNO $LJPC Small Pharma buy-out complete in a string of massive value acquisitions. Next on tap $IFRX, hopefully near $50 per share! Kindest regards to all!
View on StockTwits ↗$ADMA When $LJPC was acquired for 6.23 a share, the article linked below mentioned the 30 day volume-weighted average share price when discussing the premium. I wonder if the current aggressive shorting of Adma is intended to lower the average share price to make an acquisition less expensive for a potential suitor. https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20220711005433/en/Innoviva-to-Acquire-La-Jolla-Pharmaceutical-Company
View on StockTwits ↗$ADMA I feel like many stocks trade in a boring range before being acquired. $CMPI $CCXI $LJPC Weren't these similarly trading in a boring sideways pattern before being acquired? Maybe not. My memory might not be accurate. I thought there was some similarity in trading action, though.
View on StockTwits ↗$ADMA $CCXI $CMPI $LJPC Each of those tickers reminds me of adma for some reason. Feel free to take a look at how each of them traded prior to acquisition... Who knows? Certainly not me.
