Jaiprakash Power Ventures Limited (JPVL) is an Indian enterprise primarily engaged in electricity generation and cement grinding. The company harnesses both thermal and hydroelectric energy sources. Its portfolio of key operational assets includes the 400 MW Jaypee Vishnuprayag hydroelectric facility in Chamoli, Uttarakhand; the 1320 MW Jaypee Nigrie thermal power station in Nigrie, Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh; and the 500 MW Jaypee Bina thermal plant in Sirchopi, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. Beyond power, JPVL also operates the Jaypee Nigrie cement grinding unit, co-located in Nigrie, Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, and conducts sand extraction activities in Andhra Pradesh. Furthermore, the company manages a coal mine in Amelia, Madhya Pradesh. Established in 1994, it was originally known as Jaiprakash Hydro-Power Limited, adopting its current name, Jaiprakash Power Ventures Limited, in December 2009. Its corporate headquarters are situated in New Delhi, India.
