View on StockTwits ↗$TLT (4) Check out the squiggly on this one. It's $GSY w/effective duration=~0.5. It needs to get on a Stairmaster and climb up a hill to pay out next month's dividend. But it's refusing to do so as even the 6-month Treasury rate has increased ~15 bps.
View on StockTwits ↗$TLT Ouch, the 2-year jumps by 33 bps in a month as Powell signals "Higher for Longer" for the Fed Fund Rate. What this means is that those invested in the short-end of the Treasuries and Corporates, may face "slight" principal risks. If you're invested in ETFs like $VUSB PULS MINT $GSY JPST $FLUD $ICSH, and you're safety-conscious and want to maintain your principal, you might want to rejigger. Same for even those with Corp Float Rate Note (FRN) ETFs like FLOT FLRN FLTR and VRIG. The safest bet is to move to even shorter Treasuries: USFL and TFLO, with effective durations close to zero. That way, you're free from both the interest rate risk and credit spread risk, which could hit if private credit and PE exposure from software/tech exposure, hit. Usually, in recessions, a double whammy happens.
View on StockTwits ↗@DickFuld14 the share price speaks for itself here. Fact is the company missed estimates on ebitda and revenue . Not good news for a smaller cap growth name. Plus I don’t like the ceo strategy of trying to buy shareholders by increasing div every few months when expenses are rising and the company is trying to grow. Giving that cash away is foolish in my opinion at this stage . I still hold some shares but likely not for long. $GSY much better proven name in the sector.
View on StockTwits ↗@CycleTrade Looks like $GSY is ticking all the boxesrevenue, earnings, dividends, and targets all lined up. Hitting those criteria alongside a potential breakout into a stage 2 uptrend on $HWX.TSX makes it an interesting setup to watch. Could be a strong move if momentum confirms.
