Crown Castle owns or manages roughly 40,000 wireless towers in the United States. It leases space on its towers to wireless service providers, which install equipment to support their wireless networks. The company has a very concentrated customer base, with about 90% of its revenue from the Big Three US mobile carriers: Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T. Crown Castle has plans to divest its fiber business, which is expected to be finalized in the first half of 2026. After that, it will be a stand-alone tower operator. Crown Castle operates as a real estate investment trust.

$LUMN $CCI $VZ The satellite fears are ridiculous.... Analyst: “Elon Musk is nuts” Overall, SpaceX’s plans for Starlink Mobile drew a good amount of skepticism from industry analysts. Some were blunt: “Elon Musk is nuts if he thinks 5G small cells with Starlink backhaul can offer better (and cheaper) service than AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile,” wrote Dimitris Mavrakis, senior research director at ABI Research, on LinkedIn, where it generated some commentary about the history of small cells in the wireless industry (spoiler alert: not so great). “Sure, if they deploy millions, then perhaps. But connecting them is not the biggest problem; getting power to them and finding the optimal location are the biggest problems. Let alone economics, ROI etc. Unless they are thinking of existing Starlink locations, which is not correlated with cellular coverage requirements,” Mavrakis added.
View on StockTwits ↗$CCI We're almost there. I'll probably start a position next week.
View on StockTwits ↗$CCI space x basically said they are taking over cellular business… I def don’t think that’s entirely possible . Maybe In some form but dam this will be dead money for awhile unfortunately… it’s in retirement account too so I’m trapped in it lol. 💀💀. Def don’t want to compete with Elon the king of pumping.
View on StockTwits ↗$CCI Challenges with satellites CCI: Before he took that question, he described why satellites alone aren’t able to displace terrestrial-based mobile networks. For one, satellites generally require a clear line of sight to the sky and provide weaker coverage indoors and inside vehicles, which is where about 90% of mobile usage occurs. For another, satellite operators have significantly less spectrum. Direct-to-device (D2D) satellite services generally have access to only tens of megahertz of spectrum, while each major U.S. wireless carrier controls hundreds of megahertz. Lastly, a typical satellite beam covers about 100 square miles to 600 square miles versus roughly 3 square miles to 20 square miles for a terrestrial cell site, requiring substantially more users to share the same spectrum resources. That means for every megahertz of spectrum, terrestrial cell sites can support 30x more users, he said.

View on StockTwits ↗$CCI sorry but I see the company going lol like I said low $60 range if they’re able to push it maybe even to the 58 range. If things get really nasty 48 range should be a pretty strong support level
