$BST It may be unknown to the public but the returns with dividends YTD 22 percent 1 year 37 percent! and a tiny market cap. Sometimes the little guys win!
View on StockTwits ↗$BSTZ $BST it’s obvious (to me at least ) that only these two were “chosen” for “special distribution” announcement PR is because they are the only two CEFs that are close to the 10% discount threshold that would force BlackRock to buy 5% of outstanding shares if the discounts were to continue for the 9 month lookback. Trust me, the board does NOT want to do that. So they pre announce this “special distribution” not payable until September to try and narrow the discounts. Retail loves special distributions so it will likely work. $BTX has an almost identical portfolio as these two BUT this CEF does NOT have the discount management program which is obviously why they are not going to offer any “special distribution”
View on StockTwits ↗$BST keep in mind a special distribution is literally just getting your own money back. It literally does nothing and doesn’t add any value whatsoever
View on StockTwits ↗$MAR $ETV $GOF $BST $CLM Anyone else using Schwab missing their month end dividends?? I want my money, where is it?????
View on StockTwits ↗$BST Looking to get back in, but it has to be below $47 for it to make sense for me yield-wise.
View on StockTwits ↗$USA it should be but it's barely participated in the rally post war! I had to leave this and $GAB for $BTX $BST $BSTZ. Now out of all. Also takes its sweet time distributing divvies lol. What can be catalyst for USA? Usually NAV closes discount at exactly the time overall market rallies but no dice here
View on StockTwits ↗$BST Buy, hold, reinvest the dividend every month and forget about it. I've held for 3 years and don't watch the daily gyrations. A downtrend simply buys more shares and averages down. The dividend is consistent with surprise bonuses at year end sometimes. I know my dividend will increase every month as I own more shares every month. Yes, I'm sure there are multitudes of better perfoming funds, but I'm not losing any sleep owning this.
