The Brazil segment boasts a comprehensive range of chemical production, encompassing fundamental chemicals such such as ethylene, polymer and chemical grade propylene, butadiene, butene-1, benzene, toluene, and xylenes. Its fuel offerings include automotive gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas, ethyl tertiary-butyl ether, and methyl tertiary-butyl ether. The company also manufactures intermediates like cumene; various aliphatics, aromatics, and hydrogenated solvents; and specialty chemicals such as isoprene, dicyclopentadiene, piperylene, nonene, tetramer, polyisobutylene, and hydrocarbon resins. Furthermore, this segment is a key manufacturer of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP), notably producing green PE from renewable sources, along with polyvinyl chloride and caustic soda. It also extends its operations to supply electricity and other crucial inputs to second-generation producers. In the United States and Europe, Braskem's focus is on the manufacturing and distribution of polypropylene (PP) throughout the U.S. and Germany. The Mexico segment is dedicated to the production and sale of ethylene, high-density polyethylene, and low-density polyethylene within Mexico. Globally, Braskem is actively engaged in the manufacturing, sale, import, and export of a diverse portfolio of chemicals, petrochemicals, and fuels. The company also generates, supplies, and sells various utilities, including steam, water, compressed air, and industrial gases, in addition to providing industrial services. Founded in 1972, the company initially operated as Copene Petroquímica do Nordeste S.A., changing its name to Braskem S.A. in 2002. Its headquarters are situated in Camaçari, Brazil.
