@locke_down I'll do my best, not sure I grasp it well enough to explain it properly but I'll try!
Currently, machines and the chips that power them consume power to take in all of the information/signals around them, and then more power to interpret all those signals, even the ones that wind up being useless to it.
$BRCHF 's Akida technology essentially makes it so that the machine pre-emptively knows exactly what type of signal it needs to interpret, such as light or sound or heat, and never wastes any power on any signals it doesn't need to interpret. Saving massive amounts of power.
TL;DR - The technology is called Neuromorphic technology and it has the potential to lower power consumption/usage on the edge to what appears to be truly game-changing amounts (especially for anything that would utilize batteries).

$BRCHF Aside from a stock fanatic, I am a hobby-level computer nerd. Our current AI (LLM) models have come to a point where I can run full models locally (admittedly on an unreasonably-priced mac with 256GB of ram).
Long story short, I am using those models to build analysis tools for me, but have become intimately aware of their limitations, on top of their power-hungry and hardware-hungry nature.
My current project is to play with much more efficient AI architecture for fun, to see how smart a small model can become. During that research, I hit a roadblock with my need for a nueramorphic chip... then found Akida, so here I am. Dipped my toes a little and definitely want to do more research.
