Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. manages and operates a diverse portfolio of essential infrastructure assets, encompassing utilities, transportation, midstream energy, and data services across North and South America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region. Its Utilities division controls roughly 61,000 kilometers of active electricity transmission and distribution lines, alongside an additional 5,300 km of electricity transmission lines. This segment also oversees 4,200 km of natural gas pipelines, serves 7.3 million electricity and natural gas customers, and provides 360,000 long-term sub-metering services, in addition to offering heating and cooling systems, gas distribution networks, water heater provision, HVAC unit rentals, and various other household services. The Transport sector facilitates the movement, storage, and handling of merchandise, commodities, and passengers through an extensive network comprising approximately 22,000 km of tracks, a separate 5,500 km track network, 4,800 km of railways, 3,800 km of motorways, and 13 port terminals. Within the Midstream segment, services encompass natural gas transmission, collection, processing, and storage, supported by roughly 15,000 km of natural gas transmission pipelines, 600 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity, 17 natural gas processing facilities, 3,900 km of gas gathering pipelines, and a petrochemical processing complex. The Data division manages about 148,000 active telecom towers, 8,000 multi-purpose towers and rooftop sites, and 10,000 km of fiber backbone infrastructure. It further includes 1,600 cell sites with approximately 12,000 km of fiber optic cable, plus an additional 2,100 active telecom towers and 70 distributed antenna systems, alongside 50 data centers providing 200 megawatts of critical load capacity.
