BioDelivery Sciences International, Inc. (BDSI) is a specialized pharmaceutical firm dedicated to the advancement and commercialization of therapeutic products designed for long-term health conditions, serving markets both within the United States and internationally. The company's product offerings leverage its proprietary BioErodible MucoAdhesive drug delivery system—a slender, dissolving polymer film intended for application to the inner cheek—in addition to other drug administration methodologies. Its portfolio includes several key products: BELBUCA, a buprenorphine buccal film, is utilized for the ongoing management of persistent pain. Symproic functions as a peripherally acting mu-opioid receptor antagonist, specifically addressing opioid-induced constipation in adult patients suffering from chronic non-cancer pain. This also covers individuals whose chronic pain is a result of prior cancer or its treatment, provided they do not require frequent increases in opioid dosage. ELYXYB, an oral solution containing celecoxib, provides treatment for adult migraines, irrespective of the presence of an aura. ONSOLIS, a soluble fentanyl film administered buccally, is intended for the management of sudden, severe "breakthrough" pain experienced by cancer patients. Founded in 1997, BioDelivery Sciences International, Inc. is headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina. As of March 18, 2022, the company operates as a subsidiary of Collegium Pharmaceutical, Inc.

$LEXX 1. BioDelivery Sciences ($BDSI) BioDelivery Sciences followed a nearly identical trajectory by using its BEMA® (BioErodible MucoAdhesive) delivery technology. • The Path: The company spent years developing and evaluating its delivery platform for various pain and addiction medications. • The Deal: In 2012, they converted their development progress into a worldwide licensing agreement with Endo Pharmaceuticals for BEMA Buprenorphine. • Terms: The deal included a $30 million upfront payment and up to $150 million in milestone payments, plus royalties on net sales. BDSI was later acquired for over $560 million in 2022.
View on StockTwits ↗@FatMoneyScience @mikedeatworld If Steve ever does show for that beer for the love of God please tell him to contact $BDSI so they can partner up on a buccal (cheek) patch for delivery of bremelanotide (since it works intranasally it should work via the cheek too and it's a lot sexier sticking your finger in your cheek than up your nose).

View on StockTwits ↗@Muhley I agree there is some hope of optimism behind the 8-K announcement although I'm not sure how much incentive management really has to dilute *after* prices spike instead of before, but we can hope and + I recall you are going on previous conversation with $PTN mgmt regarding their plans and I mentioned they have good things coming end of this month in the conference. I've never had luck contacting them so I hope if you ever converse again you bring up the $BDSI buccal patch since they easily may want to partner without requiring money out of PTN pockets other than just supplying some brem to formulate into a few trial cheek patches to verify it gets in the bloodstream in controlled fashion. No need to verify efficacy or safety. Low investment big reward.

View on StockTwits ↗@Gerszon Agreed future is bright. Patience needed. Melanocortins very promising. It's frustrating being a long time shareholder when at todays prices my first purchased shares would cost roughly $800 ea now. So I would rather see ED back in the news now for Bremelanotide while still in PTNs court so that share price can recover a bit. Men are more aggressive buyers (if they only knew) would start going recreational in the meantime with off-label borrowing from their female partners of their Vyleesi prescription and bump sales numbers further. As for a patch I'm the only one I know that has suggested a buccal patch, see $BDSI product. Cheek a lot "sexier" route than sticking your finger up your nose.
View on StockTwits ↗@Paperchasin it would be a slam dunk for $PTN to do a patch either for the nose or cheek and also revisit erectile dysfunction. $BDSI has a cheek patch that they use to deliver a fentanyl type opioid that is not absorbable in the stomach and requires strict dosage regulation .. that doesn't mean it'll work for vyleesi but it might and a cheek patch is sexier than sticking your finger up your nose.
View on StockTwits ↗$BDSI Can you imagine the people who who didn't offload this in 2019? Almost as crazy as a doctorate who believes both political parties are equally extreme and flawed.
