The portfolio is constructed with debt securities featuring a short-term outlook, specifically a dollar-weighted average effective maturity ranging from zero to two years. These securities originate from entities whose obligations are denominated in U.S. dollars and can include various types such as mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities. A key requirement for inclusion is credit quality: all investments must possess a rating of at least Baa- from Moody's Investors Service, or an equivalent assessment from Standard & Poor's Ratings Services or Fitch, Inc. If a security is unrated, it must be deemed by the fund's sub-advisor to be of comparable quality to meet the fund's standards.
