Abiomed, Inc. specializes in the creation and distribution of advanced medical technology designed to support or substitute the heart's pumping action in patients suffering from heart failure, while also offering ongoing care for these individuals. Its product portfolio includes various devices from the Impella family. The Impella 2.5 is a tiny percutaneous heart pump featuring an integrated motor and sensors, alongside the Impella CP, which is utilized by interventional cardiologists in catheterization labs and by cardiac surgeons during operations. Other Impella models such as the 5.0, LD, and 5.5 are also percutaneous micro heart pumps, primarily employed in surgical settings. The Impella RP is a percutaneous catheter-based axial flow pump. Beyond the pumps, Abiomed offers the Impella SmartAssist platform, which leverages optical sensors for precise pump placement and uses algorithms to enhance native heart function assessment during patient weaning. Its Impella Connect system provides secure, cloud-based remote monitoring of the automated Impella controller for medical staff. The company also markets the OXY-1 System, a portable device for external respiratory support. Furthermore, Abiomed is actively developing several innovations, including the Impella ECP pump for high blood flow rates, the Impella XR Sheath for smaller access during Impella procedures, the Impella BTR percutaneous micro heart pump, and preCARDIA, a catheter-based superior vena cava therapy system aimed at quickly addressing acute decompensated heart failure. Abiomed distributes its products globally through its dedicated direct sales and clinical support teams, reaching regions such as the United States, Japan, Canada, countries across Europe (including Germany and France), Latin America, the Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East. $ABMD abmd should buy HUMA to get a infection resistant conduit for their Impella 5.5 instead of hemashield or other infection prone synthetic
View on StockTwits ↗$ICU This is stock market full of drama... Things can change overnight... Retail look at results with a days or months horizon forgetting that there are companies and the sector looking at SCD with a much wider horizon... If you sell for cheap these other stakeholders will be thankful for giving up a diamond in the rough for free... If holding on to life saving and industry changing therapy and not selling for cheap they will be forced to pay real value which is much higher than current $30 million MC... Its at least $16 billion as $ABMD has showed us... We need statistical significance in order to enter the $6 billion market and DSMB confirmed we can achieve this by a 339 patients set... What's 6 months more... If we keep course increasing Pediatric sales and decreasing cash burn there are no financial hurdles... 🤔🤔🤔
View on StockTwits ↗$ICU I have asked Grok about similarities and differences between $ABMD and $ICU Similarities Both Device therapy producers Both a long product development cycle Both addressing an unmet need to support a critical organ Both a long trajectory before discovered Both replacing SoC after approval Both targeting multi billion TAM Dissimilarity Actually nothing to do with science but more on execution $ABMD did not have financial struggle they were financed well from the start So you could also turn the weakness into an opportunity given the huge TAM this therapy addresses and we're at inflection point 🤔🤔🤔
View on StockTwits ↗$ICU Another $ABMD (100 bagger) in the making only difference this time you have been warned ahead... 😎😎😎
View on StockTwits ↗$ICU $ABMD $JNJ As long as Wall Street didn't take notice you got the chance to buy at these crazy low prices... The day the market wakes up these prices gonna look like Allison in Wonderland...
View on StockTwits ↗$ICU $ABMD had a life and hart saving device for a niche market of $3 billion BO by $JNJ for $16 billion... We got a kidney and hart saving device and all other vital organs like liver and lungs and a total TAM of $33 billion... Is there any reason to believe that we can't get BO for at least $16 billion... 🤔🤔🤔
View on StockTwits ↗$ICU $ABMD BO was $16.6 billion for a $3 billion niche market... $ICU has a $33 billion overall TAM... 😎😎😎
View on StockTwits ↗$ICU $ABMD explains the future... You only need to hold on the plan... 😎😎😎

View on StockTwits ↗@TJmaximus it’s worth way more than $ABMD. $ABMD barely grew for years. $SWAV just getting started and already has a 2nd company they’ve bought to launch into new indications entirely.
View on StockTwits ↗@TJmaximus It’s worth $500. The market just doesn’t understand yet. Any competition will be so far behind/inferior that it won’t gain traction. The next $ABMD
View on StockTwits ↗$SWAV feels like they’re on the M&A docket, but I’ve definitely felt this way for a long time and still no dice… $ABMD was bought at 16x revenue multiple. Impella offered more of a moat than what $SWAV has as we know others in the space are working on competing technologies. That being said, speak to any cards/vascular doc and they’ll tell you the same thing, SWAV isn’t going anywhere and will be here to stay… What type of a multiple can it command in this environment, and will it be something management accepts? Think a 250-300 offer plays out any diff this go around? $BSX $EW $MDT
