TYK Medicines, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical firm in the clinical development phase, dedicated to identifying, obtaining, advancing, and bringing to market innovative treatments for significant unmet needs in oncology. The company's primary drug candidate, TY-9591, is a third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI). It is being developed to treat non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with EGFR mutations that has metastasized to the brain, as well as locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC characterized by the EGFR L858R mutation. Beyond its lead candidate, TYK Medicines maintains a diverse pipeline of other investigational therapies. These include TY-302, an oral cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) 4/6 inhibitor designed for solid tumors such as breast and prostate cancer. Another compound, TY-2136b, is an oral ROS proto-oncogene 1/neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase inhibitor also aimed at solid tumors. The company is advancing TY-2699a, a selective CDK7 inhibitor, and TY-0540, a selective CDK2/4/6 inhibitor, both targeting advanced or metastatic solid malignancies. Further, the pipeline features TY-4028, an oral exon 20 insertion tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) specifically addressing locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with EGFR exon 20 or HER2 exon 20 insertions. TY-1091 is a potent and selective rearranged during transfection proto-oncogene (RET) inhibitor, under development for advanced NSCLC with RET gene fusion, advanced medullary thyroid cancer with RET gene mutation, and other solid tumors presenting RET gene alterations. Other promising programs include TY-1054, an oral yes-associated protein-transcriptional enhanced associate domain inhibitor for various cancers; TY-1210, a selective CDK2 inhibitor for solid tumors; TY-0609, a selective CDK4 inhibitor also for cancer therapy; and TY-3200, an innovative EGFR degrader. Established in 2017, the enterprise operates from its main office located in Huzhou, China.
