The company's homebuilding operations target first-time, move-up, and active adult homebuyers mainly under the Lennar brand name. Lennar's financial-services segment provides mortgage financing and related services to its homebuyers. Meanwhile $LEN looks more choppy, slower, and less decisive on the same macro tailwind. You’d normally expect these to move in sync, but the tape is clearly separating winners from laggards within the same sector. That’s where alpha shows up.
