$IRWD Look at the all time chart, IRWD stayed pretty much in the $10-15 SP range from 2017 - 2024. After the VectivBio purchase, they almost went bankrupt (well, not really). SP briefly went under a dollar. Nuts. As an all time investment we are 71% down. Not good Tom McCourt. Time to go.
View on StockTwits ↗$IRWD Grudge and accountability aren't the same thing. Nobody's rehashing old history, this is a live pattern from current leadership this year: the Goldman review confirmed dead but never disclosed, the pediatric approval sitting unannounced for six days until forced, the CFO exiting abruptly with no explanation. That's not the past, that's now. Calling it bitterness instead of engaging with the facts isn't an argument. The business is executing better this year, that's real but Linzess success reflects ABBV. But if the fundamentals are genuinely improving, why is the stock still stuck near multi year lows instead of reflecting it. Good numbers don't erase withheld information or unexplained departures, and the market isn't rewarding the story the way it should if trust in the messenger were intact. Telling people to move on isn't evolved thinking, it's asking them to stop paying attention to exactly why the price hasn't moved: A CEO and Board who have failed to execute over and over.
View on StockTwits ↗$IRWD I am fine with these shenanigans, they only mean one thing and I am here to relish every bite of that ice cream before it melts ✌️
View on StockTwits ↗$IRWD This just does not make any sense for the share price to be at this level, this is annoying.
View on StockTwits ↗$IRWD not much to comment on the price action after the great Q2 earnings. Streets should have already see what they want to see after Q2. The new PT should possibly be upgraded this week, especially with the official Star 2 start updated on gov clinical trials website and the strong profit margin on LINZESS being proved again on Q2 after Medicare Drug Price Negotiations. Debt bing paid off and raised guidance. On the other hand, spring is getting tighter and tighter based on the technical analysis point, the breaking point should be not far. Also the short available shares are kept high after the earnings. Soon we will also see the updated Top Gun holdings, will we see some 13D instead 13G this Quarter? Looking forward this month, always doing your own DD and the rest are all the noises.
View on StockTwits ↗$IRWD honest question: why do so many people on this board have such disdain for this stock? Assuming you have skin in the game, why are so many accounts consistently focused on tearing down IRWD bc of what happened years ago and/or have a myopic view of the present? I get that expressing your frustrations is therapeutic (I certainly do that), but when you refuse to acknowledge progress, let go of grudges, and evolve your thinking, wth is your objective for being here?
View on StockTwits ↗$IRWD My investigation leads to this: VectivBio. And the history around it is actually pretty revealing.. The SEC filings show VectivBio was the major acquisition. Ironwood agreed to buy it in May 2023 for $17/share and completed the tender offer in June 2023. The remaining shares were squeezed out in December 2023. Total consideration was about $1.2 billion. Ironwood didn’t buy VectivBio because it wanted another LINZESS-like commercial drug. It bought VectivBio primarily for apraglutide, which was already in Phase 3 for short-bowel syndrome with intestinal failure. Ironwood’s accounting actually treated the transaction as an asset acquisition, because essentially all of the acquired value was concentrated in the in-process R&D asset apraglutide.
