$ATIG I've spent the last few weeks digging into this, and I actually came away with more confidence than I started with.
Not because of rumors. Because of what I found.
The RenCen redevelopment is real. GM and Bedrock are publicly involved. Public financing discussions are real. Atwater is publicly recruiting contractors, vendors, universities, and partners.
What caught my attention is that many of the themes being discussed publicly today—technology, education, workforce development, redevelopment, and green-energy concepts—look very familiar to things ATIG shareholders have been hearing about for years.
Does that prove anything? No.
But it also doesn't look like a dead story to me.
If you want to look for yourself, start with the Bedrock RenCen plans, GM announcements, Atwater Renaissance website, and Detroit DDA redevelopment information.
I'm not asking anyone to trust me. I'm encouraging people to look at the same things I did and draw their own conclusions.
